Often seen weeping on the stoop or on the stairs, Anna has a special affinity for room 204 where she was kept and finally died. But she’s picky. Single people are not bothered by the sad spirit but couples who stay in room 204 may be treated to a real show. Dresser drawers open and close, the phone rings, the bed has even lifted from the floor and lady’s lingerie disappears.
But it goes further than that. Staff say that strange things only happen to couples who are in love and then the strange phenomena usually occur when the woman is out of the room. Anna seems to be making a point. One man, on his honeymoon, was surprised to see a girl looking nothing like his new bride sitting on the side of the bed in a long white nightgown. He was so disturbed he rolled off the bed and would not get off the floor until the couple were moved to an adjoining room.
The inn management always tells visitors checking into the room that it is haunted.
